Dong Nai: Support of nearly 500 million VND to help victims of Agent Orange and people with disabilities

(DN) - On July 29, the Department of Health, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Dong Nai province and the Center for Research and Capacity Development of People with Disabilities (Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations) organized a ceremony to present capital to support job creation and computer screens to victims of Agent Orange and people with disabilities in Dong Nai.

Of these, 51 Agent Orange victims and people with disabilities received non-refundable production capital support from 5 million VND to 14 million VND/person. This capital was used by Agent Orange victims and people with disabilities for small businesses, poultry farming, and purchasing small capacity machines for working at home. In addition, 4 Agent Orange victims and people with disabilities were given computer screens for use at work.

The total budget for this activity is nearly 500 million VND, sponsored by the Center for Research and Capacity Development for People with Disabilities through the Social Integration Support Program, within the framework of the Integration Project coordinated by this unit in Dong Nai province.
