Dong Nai: Heavy rain collapsed the roof of a house, 1 person injured

At noon on September 22, the authorities of Tran Bien ward (Dong Nai province) said that a roof collapse of a house had just occurred in the area, injuring one resident.

Earlier, at around 10am the same day, a heavy rainstorm accompanied by strong winds collapsed the porch roof of Mr. L's family's house on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street. The porch roof collapsed onto the sidewalk, and pieces of concrete broke, blocking the path.

At that time, an old man was taking shelter from the rain under the porch when he was crushed by a piece of broken concrete and injured. Immediately after, the local people promptly took the victim to Dong Nai General Hospital for emergency treatment. Upon receiving the news, the functional forces of Tran Bien ward were present at the scene, coordinating with Mr. L's family to clean up the broken concrete and verify the cause of the incident.

According to locals, the house was built more than 30 years ago, many parts have deteriorated and due to economic difficulties, the family has not been able to repair it.
