Tourists coming to Da Nang by train during the April 30

DNVN - The Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the number of tourists visiting and traveling in the city by train during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year increased by more than 60% compared to the same period in 2023.

On the afternoon of May 1, the Da Nang Department of Tourism announced that the total number of visitors and guests staying in the city during the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 reached more than 336,000, an increase of 11.6% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors reached about 72,000, an increase of more than 2 times over the same period in 2023; domestic visitors reached about 264,000. Total tourism revenue reached about 1,336 billion VND, an increase of 12.7% over the same period in 2023.

The total number of flights to Da Nang during the 5-day holiday reached more than 560. On average, there are 112 flights to Da Nang every day, including 61 domestic flights and 51 international flights.

Notably, the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the number of tourists visiting and traveling in the city by train during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year reached more than 16,000, an increase of more than 60% over the same period in 2023. In addition, the number of tourists traveling by road, especially by self-sufficient means, also increased.

There was a cruise ship AZAMARA JOURNEY arriving at Tien Sa port on April 28, welcomed by Saigontourist Da Nang Branch with a total of 800 European and American guests... (on the occasion of April 30 - May 1 last year, there were no international cruise ships arriving at Da Nang port). The number of visitors participating in the Han River cruise experience reached about 20,800, an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2023.

The average occupancy rate of 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation facilities in the area is 70%. The average occupancy rate of 3 star or lower tourist accommodation facilities is 45%, mostly individual guests. Tourists focus on visiting and experiencing major tourist areas and destinations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Asia Park, Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic, Mikazuki... swimming in the sea, experiencing activities at Son Tra peninsula.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism also said that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the work of ensuring security, safety, and serving people and tourists was well implemented. Rescue work at beaches and supporting tourists received special attention.

Tourism service businesses in the city have implemented self-inspection, ensuring service quality, complying with regulations on security, order, environmental sanitation, food safety, etc. to serve people and tourists.
