Tourists flock to Da Nang on the first day of the new year 2024

Early morning on February 10, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City welcomed the first tourists to Da Nang City at the domestic and international arrival terminals of Da Nang International Airport.

At 6:45 a.m. on February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), flight VN628 operated by Vietnam Airlines from Don Muong (Thailand) landed at Da Nang International Airport.

Tourists from Don Muong flight (Thailand) are the first visitors to Da Nang.

Immediately after that, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City continued to welcome domestic tourists on flight VN157 from Hanoi to Da Nang of Vietnam Airlines and flight JX701 from Taipei (Taiwan, China) to Da Nang of Starlux Airlines.

Tourists coming to Da Nang City on the first day of the New Year are welcomed with lion dance performances and special gifts of Da Nang City.

In particular, the spring luck picking program with gifts of vouchers for sightseeing and entertainment spots... such as Asia Park, Da Nang Ao Dai art show... with the desire to bring tourists impressive experiences during their visit to Da Nang City.

There were 3 lucky guests on the flight who received round-trip tickets from Don Muong (Thailand) - Da Nang of Vietnam Airlines along with Da Nang city tourism products.

In addition, many tourists were given souvenirs such as conical hats, ginger jam, grilled coconut cakes, etc.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the welcoming ceremony for first visitors is an annual activity of the Department of Tourism, demonstrating the hospitality of the city's tourism industry. The increase in the number of flights during the New Year is a positive signal, bringing the expectation that Da Nang tourism will have more breakthroughs and continue to develop strongly in the year of Giap Thin 2024.

According to statistics on February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Da Nang International Airport welcomed more than 125 domestic and international flights, estimated at more than 17,000 passengers from the city to Da Nang, of which the number of international flights is expected to be 53, estimated at about 7,500 passengers.
