Expected 33rd Session of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee

At this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and give opinions on the following contents:

Regarding the work of law-making, the National Assembly Standing Committee spent a lot of time giving opinions on the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; giving opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 of the National Assembly on piloting the organization of an urban government model and a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city; giving opinions on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province; reviewing the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the highest military rank for a number of positions and titles of officers who are generals under the Ministry of National Defense as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 15 of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.

Regarding supervision work, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of socio -economic development tasks and the state budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2024; give opinions on the Government's Submission on the allocation of the medium-term public investment plan with state budget capital for the 2021-2025 period and the 2024 capital plan for tasks and projects using the increased central budget revenue in 2022 that have completed investment procedures; give opinions on the report on the results of supervising the settlement and response to voters' petitions sent to the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly, review the National Assembly's report on people's petitions in April 2024; give opinions on the draft report synthesizing voters' and people's opinions and petitions sent to the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly; comment on the Government's report on thrift practice and waste prevention in 2023; comment on the 2022 state budget settlement report (including the report on the implementation of the provisions in Clause 6, Article 3 of Resolution No. 91/2023/QH15 on approving the 2021 state budget settlement; Resolution No. 94/2019/QH14 dated November 26, 2019 of the 14th National Assembly on tax debt relief, debt cancellation of late payment fines, late payment fees for taxpayers who are no longer able to pay the state budget).

Regarding decisions on important issues, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the National Marine Spatial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; and give opinions on the investment policy for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period.

Also during the meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the preparations for the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly and summarize the 7th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.
