Vietnam tourism has the world's leading growth rate of international visitors.

In the first 8 months of 2025, Vietnam tourism welcomed nearly 14 million international visitors (up 21.7% over the same period in 2024), served about 106 million domestic tourists, and total tourism revenue reached about 707,000 billion VND.

The information was announced by the National Tourism Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) at a press conference introducing the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 held on the afternoon of September 22.

According to Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the National Tourism Administration, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism industry has had a spectacular recovery, completed and exceeded the planned targets, and is considered by the Government as one of the bright spots in the country's economic picture.

Vietnam is also assessed by the ASEAN Secretariat as the tourist destination with the highest recovery in the region, reaching 98% compared to before the pandemic.

According to the assessment of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UNTourism) in the first 6 months of 2025 report, Vietnam tourism has the world's leading international visitor growth rate (reaching 21%).

In order to select and honor organizations, businesses and service providers serving tourists, high-quality educational and training establishments that have made positive contributions to the development of Vietnam's tourism, contributing to affirming the position of the tourism industry in the national economy, demonstrating the great role of the tourism industry in socio-economic life, the National Tourism Administration organizes the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025.

This is the 20th year the award has been held and is the most prestigious award in the Vietnamese tourism industry.

"Not only is this an event to honor tourism businesses, organizations, and high-quality educational and training establishments that have made positive contributions to the development of Vietnam's tourism, but it also encourages businesses to constantly innovate, apply advanced technology, improve product and service quality, and increasingly better meet the diverse needs of domestic and international tourists," Mr. Ha Van Sieu emphasized.

The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 will honor businesses and units operating in the tourism sector in 11 award categories with 18 titles. From travel, accommodation, transportation, community destinations, food services, spas, golf courses to creative products, communications and tourism training facilities.

The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 ceremony will be held on World Tourism Day, September 27.
