According to the announcement, when discovering the unfortunate incident at the Thai Binh facility, Cot Dien Quan representatives directly inspected the facility, from raw materials to preservation and processing procedures, to come to the decision to permanently suspend the operations of the Thai Binh branch of Cot Dien Quan, due to non-compliance with the regulations and food safety and hygiene requirements of the chain.
At the same time, this facility has not been able to closely manage employees during the process of preserving raw materials, leading to serious consequences, affecting customers and brand reputation.
As explained, the type of pate that Thai Binh facility uses is imported from the total bread pan system, produced according to strict processes, and inspected; it is the type that is molded and frozen, only when used is it taken out of the freezer, cut and fried.
However, the pate preservation process at the Thai Binh facility did not follow regulations, causing the pate to spoil.
The management board of Cot Dien Quan pan bread system continues to apologize to all customers of Cot Dien Quan Thai Binh, especially the 3 diners who encountered the maggot-infested pate incident.
"Any customer who has eaten at the Thai Binh location and has had health problems, please contact us for the best solution" - the announcement from the management board of Cot Dien Quan stated.

The Cot Dien Quan pan-fried bread system claims that they have provided instructions on food processing and preservation procedures to ensure food safety and hygiene, both directly and in writing.
At the same time, there is a periodic monitoring of the implementation of these procedures, however, because the Thai Binh facility is far away, monitoring activities are not carried out regularly and continuously.
After the unfortunate incident above, the chain management board notified all facilities in the system, requesting a review of hygiene activities and human resource management at their facilities, to ensure that similar incidents do not recur.
As Tuoi Tre Online reported earlier, a video appeared on social media showing at least 3 pans of food with pate still wriggling with maggots, causing diners to leave in shock, refusing to eat even though the staff offered to replace the food.
Immediately after this incident, the Cot Dien Quan pan-fried bread system announced the suspension of operations at the Cot Dien Quan Thai Binh branch until the cause of the failure to ensure food hygiene and safety, affecting the interests of customers, is clarified.
