Fashion show 'Hanoi Heritage' - Heritage journey told through the language of ao dai

(PLVN) - On the evening of May 31, 2025, in Hanoi, in the sacred and ancient space of Thang Long Imperial Citadel - World Cultural Heritage, the Fashion Show "Hanoi Heritage" took place full of emotion. The event was organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Club, a special artistic highlight in the series of activities to promote tourism in the Capital in 2025.

Ao Dai – the language of heritage

Not simply a fashion show, “Hanoi Heritage” is a storytelling journey through the ao dai – where time, space, memories and culture are recreated through every needle and thread, every brocade pattern and every poetic catwalk step.

The audience at the Imperial Citadel was led into an artistic space imbued with traditional culture with 8 typical Ao Dai collections by talented designers - who not only work with creativity, but also with a heart that loves heritage:

Designer Hoang Ly's "12 Seasons of Hanoi Flowers" takes viewers lost in the four seasons of flowers in Thang Long land - from the gentle Nhat Tan peach blossoms to the pure West Lake lotus.

Thuy Le with "A Thousand Years of Memory" evokes the depth of Hanoi's history through somber colors, mossy motifs and luxurious classic design.

Fragrance of Fabric comes from “Kinh Ky Pho Hien”, a unique cultural exchange between two ancient lands through every exquisite hand-embroidered detail.

Designer Huong Handy – “The Lady of the Clouds”: Breathing the soul of folk paintings into the ao dai, honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women over time.

Luan Nguyen and “Vietnamese Soul” convey national identity through traditional motifs: Lac birds, bronze drums, brocade…

Designer Thien Vu made his mark with the collection "Returning to the Heritage Land".
