FPT Software (a member company of FPT Corporation) and Subaru (one of the most trusted automobile manufacturers worldwide) have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership to promote innovation and development for both companies.
According to the MoU, FPT Software will leverage its technological capabilities and experience in the global market to promote digital transformation and develop smart factories for Subaru. Specifically, FPT Software will help Subaru improve its internal information systems and vehicle integration features by upgrading legacy systems, automating system operations, infrastructure, and security, while promoting the application of advanced technologies such as AI and robotic process automation. In addition, by tapping into potential IT human resources from educational institutions in Vietnam, FPT Software aims to build an ecosystem that provides high-quality operational personnel for Subaru.
“With high-quality human resources and solid technological capabilities and knowledge, FPT Software believes it will help Subaru pioneer in manufacturing innovation. We plan to deploy 200 employees to accompany Subaru by 2025 and move towards a more comprehensive partnership,” said Mr. Do Van Khac, Deputy General Director of FPT Software and General Director of FPT Japan.
The strategic partnership with Subaru reaffirms FPT Software's position as a reputable partner in digital transformation in the automotive industry and the company's wide presence in the Japanese market. With more than 10 years of experience and available resources of more than 4,000 engineers and experts in the field of automotive software, the company is aiming to achieve a revenue scale of 1 billion USD from providing software services and products for the automotive industry by 2030. This is also a technology segment that is expected to contribute significantly to FPT's target of 5 billion USD in revenue from IT services for overseas markets by 2030.
