The GAC GS8 is designed in a square, masculine style. Exterior details such as the grille and headlights are all angular, creating an attractive appearance. The car has a 2,920 mm long wheelbase and overall dimensions of length x width x height are 4,980 x 1,950 x 1,780 mm respectively. With this size, the GS8 is not only larger than the Ford Everest but also superior to the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento.
The GAC GS8 is equipped with standard LED headlights, 200 mm ground clearance, and a weight of more than 1.8 tons. The MacPherson front suspension and multi-link rear suspension help the vehicle operate stably and smoothly. 20-inch wheels with 255/50R20 tires create a sturdy appearance.
The GS8's cockpit has a modern, youthful style with a large 14.6-inch central screen and a 12.3-inch LCD speedometer behind the steering wheel. The car uses an electronic gear lever and a 2- or 3-zone independent air conditioning system depending on the version.
All seats are covered in premium leather, the front seats can be reclined flat for maximum comfort. The top version of the GS8 also has a panoramic sunroof, bringing a luxurious experience to the user.
The GAC GS8 is equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 252 horsepower and 400 Nm of maximum torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission is supplied by Aisin (Japan), ensuring smooth operation and fuel economy. This engine is also equipped on the MPV GAC M8, another GAC product that is about to be launched in Vietnam.
This Chinese SUV model has a full range of advanced driver assistance features (ADAS) such as collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. These features not only improve safety but also bring convenience and comfort to the driver.
In China, the GAC GS8 is sold under the Trumpchi brand name, with a starting price of 20,040 USD for the front-wheel drive version and 28,400 USD for the four-wheel drive version. When arriving in Vietnam, the GS8 will directly compete with rivals such as the Ford Everest (1.099-1.545 billion VND) and Hyundai Santa Fe (1.029-1.369 billion VND).
