Nearly 3.4 million passengers travel by Nhon metro

The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line (8.5km section from Nhon to Cau Giay) has been in commercial operation for 6 months, attracting nearly 3.4 million passengers.

According to statistics from Hanoi Metro Company Limited, on average, more than 480,000 passengers travel on urban railway line No. 3.1 Nhon - Hanoi station each month.

After 6 months of commercial operation, there have been nearly 3.4 million passengers traveling on the route. Notably, the proportion of passengers using monthly tickets accounts for more than 60% of the total number of passengers. This data shows that urban railways are a means of public transport that people are interested in and use regularly, especially students and working people.

Currently, the underground section from Cau Giay to Hanoi station is under construction, striving to be completed and put into operation in 2026.

Previously, from August 8, 2024, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line officially operated the elevated section. In the first 15 days of free tickets, the number of passengers using the service reached over 100,500 - a record number for the urban railway line in Hanoi.

Hanoi Metro aims to operate 81,345 trains on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong line in 2025, an increase of 0.37% compared to 2024. Passenger volume is expected to reach over 12.7 million, an increase of 7.4% compared to 2024.

With the Nhon - Hanoi station route (elevated section), it is expected to operate 80,000 trains; the expected passenger volume is over 6.5 million.

In 2025, Hanoi Metro will pay more attention to communication, promote cashless payments, build Hanoi Metro app... to increase convenience for passengers, and facilitate management and operations.

Coordinate with bus units, providing smart transportation services (Xanh SM, Grab, Be...) to review and adjust routes, enhance connections to increase convenience, thereby attracting people to use the service.
