Nearly 50 athletes compete in the Quang Tri Journalists Association Badminton Tournament

This morning, June 8, in Dong Ha City, the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Open Badminton Tournament.

The tournament attracted nearly 50 athletes who are journalists, officials, civil servants, and agencies in the province, including 10 delegations with 11 participating units: Quang Tri Newspaper, Quang Tri Radio and Television Station, Cua Viet Magazine, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises, Department of Information and Communications, Dong Ha City Culture, Sports and Physical Training Center, Dakrong District Culture, Sports and Physical Training Center, Hai Lang District Culture, Sports and Physical Training Center, Gio Linh District Culture, Sports and Physical Training Center; competing in 5 events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

The Quang Tri Journalists Association Badminton Tournament is held annually to create a useful playground for journalist branches and affiliated journalist clubs, thereby improving health and physical fitness for officials and members, and building a healthy cultural and sports lifestyle among officials and members of press agencies in the province.

This is also an opportunity for units and athletes to meet, exchange, learn and share experiences, strengthen solidarity to work together to successfully complete professional tasks.

The tournament aims to discover, select and train excellent athletes ready to compete in provincial sports tournaments and regional press sports competitions nationwide.
