Gia Lai solemnly organized the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress

(GLO)- On the morning of September 25, Gia Lai province solemnly held the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025-2030). This is an important political event, a forum to commend and honor advanced models, outstanding and outstanding factors in the 2020-2025 period.

Attending the Congress were comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Rewards Committee, and comrades in the Central Emulation and Rewards Committee.

On the provincial leadership side, there were comrades: Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Also attending were former provincial leaders of all periods; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; People's Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes; leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province, and 600 delegates representing typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan affirmed: More than 70 years ago, when President Ho Chi Minh issued the Call for Patriotic Emulation, he affirmed: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation. And those who emulate are the most patriotic people".

That sacred call became a torch to light the way, fostering the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and self-strengthening; arousing the creativity and perseverance of generations of Vietnamese people throughout the journey of fighting for national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.

For Gia Lai, a land rich in revolutionary tradition, the patriotic emulation movement is constantly growing. In the resistance war, it is a movement to destroy enemies and protect villages; in peacetime, it is a movement to develop the socio-economy, to build the province to become increasingly rich, civilized and happy.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Gia Lai today is the crystallization of the quintessence of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh in the past, with the spirit of the great forest combined with the will to go offshore of the coastal region, converging the bravery of the people and the creativity of the forest and sea. Promoting the "lightning speed" spirit of Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, we are determined to push the emulation movement into depth, creating breakthroughs in all fields.

The past 5 years have shown that the patriotic emulation movement and the commendation work have had many positive changes. Sectors and localities have proactively innovated content and methods; launched many diverse movements suitable to reality; promptly discovered, nurtured, honored, and expanded advanced models, creating a widespread influence, attracting all classes of people, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's development goals and tasks.

Thanks to that, in the 2020-2025 period, the province achieved many important results: average economic growth rate of nearly 7%/year; economic structure shifted in the right direction, the proportion of industry-construction and services reached over 78%.

The socio-cultural field has undergone clear and comprehensive changes; science and technology have been promoted, and the startup and innovation ecosystem has developed in depth.

National defense and security are maintained; border security is ensured, social order and safety are stable; foreign relations continue to be expanded, local image is effectively promoted; investment and business environment is improved, capital flows and cooperation opportunities are increasing.

In particular, patriotic emulation movements have become widespread revolutionary movements. Typically, the movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas" has created a vibrant atmosphere, changing the face of the countryside and improving people's lives.

Besides, the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" achieved impressive results and Gia Lai province was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President for its outstanding achievements.

The peak emulation period of "500 days and nights of competition to complete 3,000 km of expressway" also affirmed the spirit of determination and creativity, creating a breakthrough in infrastructure.

The above achievements and progress have affirmed the important role of emulation and reward work in general and the patriotic emulation movement in particular, contributing to the strong development of Gia Lai province, gradually becoming a fairly developed province of the country.

In conjunction with the patriotic emulation movement, the organization of this Congress is an important milestone, affirming a new development step of the emulation movement and reward work; at the same time, demonstrating the determination to effectively implement the 2-level government model in the direction of strong decentralization and delegation of power, promoting the responsibility of the leader, being close to the people, serving the people, encouraging the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, the main content of the Congress is to summarize the emulation and reward work, emulation movements in the period of 2020-2025. On that basis, evaluate the achieved results, identify limitations and shortcomings; propose directions, goals, tasks and solutions to organize emulation movements and reward work in the coming time.

At the same time, the Congress drew lessons, models, and effective methods to replicate; continued to develop the province's emulation movement in both breadth and depth, truly becoming a driving force to successfully complete socio-economic development goals, contributing to the whole country entering an era of national development: rapid, sustainable, prosperous and happy development.

“The Congress is also an opportunity to honor, commend and promote typical, advanced and excellent collectives and individuals selected from agencies, units and localities. Thereby, arousing and encouraging the strength of great national unity, strongly promoting internal strength, creating new motivation to successfully carry out the socio-economic tasks of each sector, each level and each locality in the 2025-2030 period plan” - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
