Hue: Arousing the desire for development from the patriotic emulation movement

Emulation movements such as “Green Sunday,” “Say no to single-use plastic,” building new rural areas, eliminating temporary housing, etc. have spread strongly, contributing to poverty reduction and improving people's lives.

On September 26, nearly 240 typical and advanced delegates in patriotic emulation movements in Hue city attended the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of Hue city (2025-2030) at the city's Cultural and Cinema Center. Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee Do Thuy Phuong attended the congress.

Hue City Party Secretary Le Truong Luu said that from January 1, 2025, the locality will become a centrally-run city.

With the spirit of solidarity and high determination of the entire political system, the city achieved a high growth rate, with an economic scale 1.7 times higher than in 2020.

Infrastructure and urban appearance have been renewed with many key projects such as Nguyen Hoang Bridge, Thuan An Bridge, Huong River renovation, and Hue Citadel preservation. Tourism has affirmed its brand as a safe and friendly destination; the city is among the top 5 localities in the country in digital transformation.

The Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee emphasized that in the coming period, the patriotic emulation movement will focus on thoroughly grasping the Party's policies and the State's laws on emulation and rewards; organizing movements associated with the political tasks of each locality; replicating typical models; promoting administrative reform and digital transformation; innovating the reward work to ensure fairness and objectivity; strengthening propaganda of typical advanced examples; building a team of emulation and reward cadres with mettle, ethics, and capacity to meet new requirements.

At the congress, the Hue City Cultural and Cinema Center and Mr. Tran Ba ​​Man, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance were honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal; 6 individuals were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President for their outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

The Hue City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee and 8 individuals were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong, City Party Committee member, Secretary, and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Khe Tre commune was awarded the title of National Emulation Fighter.

The Congress also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to 17 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements for the 2021-2025 period.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai launched a patriotic emulation movement with the slogan: "Emulating innovation and creativity, together with the country, moving towards an era of strong, civilized and happy development"./.
