Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee held the 2025 Investment Promotion Conference in Pleiku Ward on August 29.

Specific policies to remove bottlenecks

Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the conference is not only a forum connecting Gia Lai provincial government with investors and international organizations, but also affirms the image of a new Gia Lai after the merger with a larger scale, longer-term vision, converging all the factors of "heavenly time, favorable location, and harmony" for development and is ready for development.

Mr. Dung stated that it is necessary to organize "6 clear" (clear person in charge, clear work to be done; process, procedures; deadline - progress; resources; output results). In that spirit, the province will assign each project to a provincial-level focal point with overall responsibility; establish an Investment Promotion and Support Working Group directly directed by the Provincial People's Committee, responsible for immediately removing difficulties and obstacles to speed up the progress of the projects. The locality commits to and strictly implements the administrative procedures of "5 public - 3 companion".

Encourage regional linkages, linkages between enterprises - cooperatives - farmers - banks - science to form a sustainable value chain", the Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

At the conference, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the conference took place in the context of Gia Lai province having just been merged, forming a new administrative unit with an area of over 21,500 km², the second largest in the country, with a diverse ecosystem, 130km of coastline, and 80km of border.

On the new journey, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee noted that the province's growth pillars will be the development of processing and manufacturing industries; renewable energy and green industry; artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor industry, associated with the Regional Innovation Center; developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, based on the advantages of the sea, mountain ecology, cultural heritage; developing high-tech agriculture, sustainable forestry, forming "agricultural - industrial strongholds"; developing port - logistics services; developing fast and sustainable urban development.

Mr. Tuan emphasized that the province wants investors to register and commit to implementing projects on schedule. Enterprises need to develop in the direction of green economy, circular economy, and environmental friendliness; together build a sustainable business ecosystem, bringing long-term value to the community. Investors need to demonstrate strong financial capacity, directly implement projects with products on schedule, as committed, do real work, and achieve real results.
