Rice price today September 7: Stable price week

Rice prices are stable today, trading remains at a low level. Raw rice prices increased slightly during the week, fresh rice prices remained stable, and exports remained high.

On September 7, the domestic rice market continued to maintain a stable rhythm, without many fluctuations. Over the past week, rice prices generally remained stable, except for raw rice, which increased slightly by about 50 VND/kg. Transactions in localities remained quiet, with not much in circulation.

Domestic rice prices

According to data from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, IR 504 raw rice for export is currently purchased at 7,700 - 7,850 VND/kg, CL 555 fluctuates at 7,750 - 7,900 VND/kg, OM 5451 remains at 7,700 - 7,900 VND/kg.

OM 380 is at 8,200 - 8,300 VND/kg, OM 18 is at 9,600 - 9,700 VND/kg. Finished rice OM 380 fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg, while IR 504 remains at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

By-product price

By-products are stable today. OM 504 broken rice is at 7,300 - 7,400 VND/kg, while dry bran fluctuates at 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Local market

In An Giang , the transaction volume is quite quiet, the price has changed little. In Lap Vo and Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the amount of rice arriving at the port is low, the warehouses are slow to purchase, the price remains stable. In some places like An Cu - Dong Thap, good rice is hard to find in the market, the warehouses have to offer higher prices to collect the fragrant white finished product OM 18 but the supply is scarce.

Retail rice price

At the traditional markets, rice prices remained the same as yesterday. Nang Nhen is still the most expensive variety at 28,000 VND/kg. Huong Lai is 22,000 VND/kg, regular rice is 13,000 - 14,000 VND/kg. Thai, Jasmine, Taiwanese, Soc, and Japanese fragrant rice... fluctuates from 16,000 - 22,000 VND/kg, generally stable.

Domestic rice prices

In An Giang, OM 18 rice (fresh) remained at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg, IR 50404 from 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg, OM 5451 around 5,900 - 6,000 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 fluctuated at 6,100 - 6,200 VND/kg, Nang Hoa 9 was stable at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg. In many other localities, buying and selling transactions were sporadic, with small quantities and stable prices.

Export markets

Vietnam's rice export prices remain unchanged from yesterday. The Vietnam Food Association (VFA) recorded: 5% broken fragrant rice fluctuated at 455 - 460 USD/ton, Jasmine at 545 - 549 USD/ton, 25% broken rice at 367 USD/ton and 100% broken rice at 333 - 337 USD/ton.
