
According to EVNCPC, storm No. 10 with wind gusts of level 14 caused a series of power poles to fall, medium and low voltage lines to be cut, and thousands of transformer stations to lose power. Quang Tri province alone had more than 200 power poles fall, of which Quang Trach and Bo Trach suffered heavy damage.
From the afternoon of September 28, EVNCPC Deputy General Director Nguyen Huu Khanh and technical and safety forces were present at the scene to direct the response.
In the face of the emergency, EVNCPC mobilized nearly 350 engineers and workers from 7 member power companies and the Central Power Services Company (CPCCPSC). Of which, Quang Tri province was reinforced with 205 people; Ha Tinh 125 people from units in the Central Highlands - Central region.

General Director Ngo Tan Cu requested units to prepare vehicles, equipment, protective gear and be present at the scene on September 29. The goal is to restore 90% of the load in Quang Tri province within the day, prioritizing power supply to hospitals, key agencies and essential residential areas; at the same time, strive to restore the entire power grid by October 2.
“Overcoming post-storm incidents is not only a production and business task but also a social responsibility of EVNCPC. I call on all staff and workers to promote a sense of responsibility, solidarity, and coordination with the locality to restore power as soon as possible, contributing to stabilizing the lives and production of people in the storm-hit area,” Mr. Cu emphasized.
EVNCPC also thoroughly instructed all staff to absolutely comply with safety and maintain labor discipline during the incident handling process.
