Brazil's pepper exports in the first 8 months of 2025 increased sharply, both in volume (26.8%) and value (95.1%) compared to the same period in 2024. In particular, Brazil is boosting exports to major markets such as Vietnam and Germany. In contrast, US pepper imports decreased, down 6.5% in the first 7 months of the year compared to the same period last year.
Pepper prices are currently in a correction phase after reaching a peak. Strong growth in output and exports from countries such as Brazil may put pressure on prices. However, with stable consumption demand and not really surplus supply, pepper prices are unlikely to fall sharply. Instead, the market may have small adjustments and continue to maintain high levels in the coming time, especially if supply from other major producing countries does not have a sudden increase.
Factors such as climate change affecting the crop, transportation costs, and the global economic situation will continue to impact pepper prices. Investors and growers should closely monitor these developments to make informed decisions.
