Ngoc Vung (Van Don) has long been considered a beautiful island with pristine landscapes and an extremely important geographical role. He waded from the southern shore of the beach area, walked along the trail to visit and talk with the islanders and soldiers. To commemorate this event, the islanders named the most beautiful beach on the island Truong Chinh beach and the road next to it was named Truong Chinh street.

At the end of Truong Chinh beach is an island, towering in the middle of the waves, green with trees, that is Phao Dai island, with an area of about 0.42ha. According to many historical documents, when the Mac Dynasty citadel was built, Phao Dai island was a guard post of the Mac Dynasty army to detect pirate ships. The name Phao Dai island probably originated from that.
