SJC gold bar price exceeds 130 million VND/tael, breaking all records

The sharp increase in world gold prices pushed the price of SJC gold bars to a new record: 130.6 million VND/tael on August 30.

SJC gold bar price increased by 1.3 million VND/tael

World gold price ended the trading week at 3,448.7 USD/ounce, up 30.4 USD/ounce (equivalent to 971,000 VND/tael) compared to the previous session.

Converted according to the listed exchange rate at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 110.2 million VND/tael.

Today, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 1.3 million VND/tael, reaching 130.6 million VND/tael. This is also the highest level ever, although the world gold price is still lower than the old peak of 3,500 USD/ounce.

The buying price also increased to 129.1 million VND/tael.

The difference between buying and selling prices is 1.5 million VND/tael.

This afternoon, the selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company increased by 1.5 million VND/tael, higher than the increase in the price of gold bars and reached 125 million VND/tael, the buying price was at 122.5 million VND/tael.

The difference between buying and selling prices is up to 2.5 million VND/tael.

Other gold brands also simultaneously raised gold prices.

In general, over the past month, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by 9.2 million VND/tael, from 121.4 million VND/tael to 130.6 million VND/tael and the increase has not stopped.

The rapid increase in gold prices has caused queues to reoccur, while limited supply has pushed up domestic gold prices even further.

Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 20.4 million VND/tael higher.

The Government has just issued Decree No. 232 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 24 on the management of gold trading activities, including eliminating the State's monopoly mechanism on the production of gold bars, export of raw gold and import of raw gold.

However, it will be more than a month, until October 10, before the regulation to abolish the monopoly on gold bars takes effect. At the same time, the market is also waiting for the circular guiding the implementation so that banks and gold businesses can qualify for import quotas and start producing gold.

It is forecasted that domestic gold prices will not cool down until November due to increased supply. Therefore, domestic gold prices have not been able to cool down yet.
