Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee - affirmed that the National Women's Championship is the highest playing field for women's football in the national tournament system, and is also a place to discover and nurture many talents for the team.
The outstanding achievements of Vietnamese women's football in recent times, especially the excellent performance of the Vietnamese women's team and the Vietnamese U20 women's team in qualifying for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia and the 2026 U20 Women's Asian Cup in Thailand, have affirmed the steady progress of the country's women's football.
This year's tournament takes place from September 4 to October 13 at Thanh Tri Stadium (Hanoi) and PVF (Hung Yen), bringing together 6 clubs: Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam , TP.HCM I, TP.HCM II, Than KSVN and Thai Nguyen T&T.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the opening matches took place with great excitement. At PVF Stadium, Hanoi won 1-0 against Phong Phu Ha Nam. The only goal of the match came from a beautiful long-range shot by Nguyen Thi Hoa in the 8th minute after a smart assist from Hai Yen.
Despite creating more opportunities, the strikers of the capital team failed to take advantage of them. Meanwhile, Phong Phu Ha Nam tried to attack with the mobility of Tuyet Dung and Tran Thi Duyen but were powerless against the tight defense of Hanoi.
In the remaining match, Thai Nguyen T&T and Than KSVN gave a thrilling score chase. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy shone brightly with a goal from a 25-meter long shot and an assist, helping Thai Nguyen lead 2-0 after only 17 minutes.
However, Than KSVN rose strongly: Ha Thi Nhai shortened the score in the 36th minute before Truc Huong scored the equalizer 2-2 in the second half. In the remaining minutes, both teams could not make any difference, accepting a share of points on the opening day.
