Resolve well the rights of social insurance participants

Mr. Lo Quan Hiep, Director of Social Insurance Region XXVII, said that recently, the Social Insurance Agency has focused on promoting the payment of pensions, social insurance benefits, and unemployment insurance (UI) through non-cash payment methods, creating many conveniences for people, workers, and businesses. Social Insurance Region XXVII has also innovated its service methods in transactions with Social Insurance agencies, ensuring timely and correct settlement of social insurance regimes, minimizing errors.

Specifically, in the first 5 months of 2025, the Social Insurance Agency of Region XXVII paid more than 9,000 billion VND to about 1.2 million workers who enjoyed the following benefits: sickness, maternity, convalescence; one-time social insurance benefits; unemployment insurance; retirement, death, work-related accidents, occupational diseases. In total, from 2020 to May 2025, the Social Insurance spent over 182,000 billion VND to settle the regime for more than 17 million people who enjoyed one-time benefits and sickness, maternity, convalescence benefits... The timely settlement of social insurance and unemployment insurance regimes has helped workers in the three localities of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau overcome difficult times and stabilize their lives.

In the field of health insurance, in the first 5 months of 2025, more than 13 million people in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau used health insurance cards for medical examination and treatment. The Social Insurance Agency of Region XXVII paid nearly 12,000 billion VND from the health insurance fund to the people. In general, from 2020 to May 2025, there were more than 140 million people using health insurance cards for medical examination and treatment; the Social Insurance Agency paid nearly 125,000 billion VND.

After the arrangement of provincial administrative units, Ho Chi Minh City has a very large area, so the settlement and payment of policies for participation in social insurance and unemployment insurance will increase sharply in volume. This requires civil servants and employees of the entire system to make great efforts, in addition to promoting the application of technology and digital transformation. To ensure convenience and satisfaction for participants, the Social Insurance of Region XXVII sets many goals such as: actively coordinating, giving comments, proposing amendments and supplements to new regulations of the law on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. At the same time, innovating the method of service, delivery and return of results of administrative procedure settlement; promoting monthly pension and social insurance allowance payment via ATM accounts.
