Gratitude and gratitude are the fundamental teachings of Buddhism, as well as the fine moral and cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people. Every year, on July 27, monks, nuns, and Buddhists across the country hold a grand ceremony to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national independence, for the unification of the country, and for the peaceful life of the people.

This year, War Invalids and Martyrs Day takes place in the context of the whole country preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, and having just completed the rearrangement of administrative boundaries of some provinces and cities. In that spirit, the VBS requests that localities organize centralized memorial services, invite government representatives to attend, and offer incense in commemoration, in order to demonstrate the morality of drinking water and remembering its source, and the connection between religion and life.
