Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My, Cuban Ambassador to Venezuela Dagoberto Rodríguez, and all staff of the Vietnamese and Cuban representative agencies attended.
According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, in his opening speech, Ambassador Vu Trung My reviewed the 65-year history of the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, emphasizing the milestone of December 2, 1960 when the two countries officially established diplomatic relations, opening a new page in the history of friendship between the two peoples on two halves of the globe. He affirmed that Vietnam will always remember Fidel Castro's immortal words "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood" and the visit to Quang Tri in September 1973 - a beautiful symbol of solidarity and loyalty between the two peoples.

Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed his joy at the achievements of the Cuban people; he believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, Cuba will continue to gain new victories. He highly appreciated the effective coordination between the two Embassies and thanked Ambassador Dagoberto Rodríguez and the Cuban Embassy for their affection and support for the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela.
Ambassador Dagoberto Rodríguez affirmed that in the history of the contemporary world , there is rarely a relationship as special as the relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Cuba. This good relationship has been cultivated by the revolutionary leaders José Martí, Fidel Castro, Ho Chi Minh, as well as generations of Cuban and Vietnamese leaders. It was the national hero José Martí who first sowed the seeds of close affection between Vietnam and Cuba and the people of the two countries through his work "A walk on the land of the Annamese" published in the magazine "Golden Age" for Cuban children in the late 19th century.
The Cuban Ambassador expressed his emotion at participating in the friendly exchange between the two embassies, considering it a vivid demonstration of the traditional solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties and States. He affirmed that this activity contributed to strengthening and deepening the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, and expressed his hope that the two embassies would always maintain a close, trusting and cooperative relationship.
