Hanoi announces areas where students are allowed to take time off to serve the parade and marching ceremonies.

Hanoi has just announced a list of 12 districts (in the old area) that will allow students to take time off from school to serve the training, preliminary rehearsal and general rehearsal of the parade and march on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

This afternoon, August 20, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training issued a document requesting the chairmen of the People's Committees of wards and communes to direct schools and affiliated educational institutions to deploy a number of contents to ensure security, safety, and smooth traffic in the city during the joint training, preliminary rehearsal, and general rehearsal of the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Accordingly, schools and educational institutions in wards (in the former districts: Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, Cau Giay, Tay Ho, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Long Bien, Ha Dong) will let students take time off on the days of practice, preliminary rehearsal, general rehearsal of the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march and notify parents to coordinate management; at the same time, teachers will still go to school to perform the task of preparing conditions for the new school year.

For schools and educational institutions in other wards and communes, based on actual conditions, the school principal shall consider and decide on allowing students to take time off from school during the practice, preliminary rehearsal, and general rehearsal of the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march.

Schools in areas where parades and processions pass through are open to serve people and tourists, providing them with a place to stop, rest, and use personal hygiene, ensuring respect and hospitality.

According to the plan, the schedule for joint training, preliminary review, and general rehearsal of the parade and march is as follows:

Summary practice round 1: 20:00 August 21, 2025 (Thursday).

Summary practice round 2: 20:00 on August 24, 2025 (Sunday).

Rehearsal Program of the Anniversary Ceremony: 20:00, August 27, 2025 (Wednesday).

Rehearsal program of the Anniversary Ceremony: 06:30 on August 30, 2025 (Saturday).

The venue is Ba Dinh Square and central streets along the parade route.
