Mother and child tragically died in Quang Binh

(NLDO) - People did not see the mother and child return so they went to search and discovered the bodies of the two victims.

Authorities and local people organized a search for the unfortunate mother and child.

On the morning of January 5, the People's Committee of Minh Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province confirmed that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a mother and child.

The victims were identified as Ms. TTT (born 1992) and her son TTH (born 2013), in Tan Ly village, Minh Hoa commune.

Before that, at around 3:00 p.m. on January 4, Ms. T. and her son went down to Muc Mieu stream (a branch of Rao Nan river) near the village to wash rice seeds to plant rice for the crop. But when the mother and son did not return in the evening, the victim's family went looking for them and found a pair of sandals and some rice seeds left on a rock near the stream.

Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities mobilized forces and people to organize a search. At 7 p.m., the bodies of Ms. T. and her child were found in deep water nearby.

The victim's family is currently carrying out burial procedures according to local customs.
