The unnumbered ships created the legend of the "Ho Chi Minh trail at sea". The national historical site of Ben K15 was invested in and built by the Navy Command in 2002. However, due to the effects of time and weather, the project has now been damaged and degraded.
Previously, Hai Phong voters requested the Government to pay attention to investing funds to renovate and preserve the Ben K15 relic site to be worthy of a national historical relic. The relic site will contribute to educating the tradition of patriotism, while at the same time recognizing the heroic feats and sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the Unnumbered Ships of the Vietnam People's Navy.
Responding to voters' opinions, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Hai Phong City and the Navy Command requesting direction for specialized agencies to prepare a project to restore and embellish the K15 Wharf relic to preserve and promote its value according to regulations.
