Indonesian Navy pays courtesy visit to Hai Phong City

On August 27, according to information from the Ministry of National Defense , the Indonesian Navy ship KRI Bima Suci just docked at Tan Vu Port, beginning a courtesy visit to Hai Phong city.

During the visit, the group of officers and ship commanders paid courtesy visits to the Vietnam Navy Region 1 Command and leaders of the Hai Phong City People's Committee.

Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong said that the visit of the Indonesian Navy ship took place at a time when the two countries were preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (December 30, 1955 - December 30, 2025). The visit will contribute to further tightening the Vietnam - Indonesia Strategic Partnership in general and the cooperation between the two countries' navies in particular.

Recently, the city has welcomed a number of Indonesian delegations to visit and work. Among them, the Indonesian Ambassador came to learn about and promote cooperation between Hai Phong and Indonesian localities and partners. The Indonesian Presidential delegation visited the Vinfast Automobile Manufacturing Plant within the framework of the State visit to Vietnam in early 2024.

On behalf of the Commander of the Indonesian Navy, Rear Admiral Supardi, Director of the Indonesian Naval Academy, thanked the leaders of Hai Phong city and the leaders of the Vietnam Navy Region 1 Command for their warm welcome. He also expressed his admiration for the outstanding development achievements of Hai Phong city. Rear Admiral Supardi hoped that the visit would contribute to further promoting the cooperative relationship between the Indonesian Navy and the Vietnam People's Navy.
