Two cruise ships bring nearly 3,000 international visitors to Khanh Hoa

(Fatherland) - Norwegian Spirit and Seven Seas Explorer docked together, bringing 2,850 guests of many nationalities to visit Khanh Hoa on February 14.

At around 7am, two cruise ships docked at Cam Ranh International Port on a cruise along Vietnam, with a total of 2,850 passengers of many nationalities.

Of which, the Norwegian Spirit ship carries 2,000 international passengers, departing from Taiwan and stopping in Hong Kong (China) before arriving at Cam Ranh - Khanh Hoa. It is expected that at 3:00 p.m. the same day, the ship will leave the port to continue to Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, the Seven Seas Explorer ship carries 8,500 international passengers, departing from Ho Chi Minh City, and will move to Coron (Philippines) in the afternoon of the same day.

Upon landing, tourists divided into small groups, some chose to visit Nha Trang, others went to The Arena Resort (Cam Ranh City), took a shuttle bus to freely visit and shop. In addition, many tourists also went on a tour to visit Nui Chua National Park - Vinh Hy Bay in Ninh Thuan .

The Norwegian Spirit brought 1,200 passengers to Khanh Hoa on January 24 and 1,900 passengers on February 6. On February 5, the Norwegian Sky also brought 1,900 passengers to Cam Ranh International Port to visit places in Khanh Hoa. Both cruise ships are part of the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet - an American cruise line.

Since the beginning of January 2025, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 6 international cruise ships with more than 11,000 tourists going ashore. According to the registration schedule from cruise lines as of April this year, the locality will welcome 9 cruises with about 14,650 visitors.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism , this is a positive signal for the recovery and development of cruise tourism activities, contributing to the success of the province's tourism industry.

In 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed 28 international cruise ships with 57,816 tourists coming ashore for sightseeing. In the whole year, the locality welcomed more than 10.8 million overnight guests, including nearly 4.8 million international visitors. Tourism revenue was more than 53.1 trillion VND./.
