People happily took beautiful photos during Independence Day. |
Since the afternoon, people from all over had been heading to Vo Nguyen Giap Square. Children in new clothes, holding national flags, happily followed their parents. Elderly people leisurely leaned on their canes, their faces beaming, waiting for the sacred moment of National Day.
Many families prepared carefully as if going to a festival: some brought plastic chairs or mats, others brought water, cakes and fruit. On each face shone the joy and pride of living in peace and prosperity.
When the music started, the stage lit up. The theme “The Pride of the Country – The Aspiration of Vietnam” permeated every melody and lyric. Art performances praising the homeland and country, mixed with youthful, vibrant dances, made the space explode.
During the art program, the people were not only spectators, but also joined in the common emotions, clapping their hands and singing loudly. The entire space became a giant choir, where patriotism was sublimated in national pride.
For the elderly, the annual Independence Day is always an unforgettable memory. With his eyes still fixed on the stage watching the special art program, Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, born in 1945, in Phan Dinh Phung ward, emotionally recounted: In the early years when the country gained independence, on the morning of September 2, we eagerly stood on the side of the road listening to the loudspeakers replaying Uncle Ho's voice reading the Declaration of Independence, then followed the adults to shout slogans. The joy was simple but full of enthusiasm. And today, standing in the midst of the bright lights, I see even more that the country has come a long way, from hardship to prosperity and abundance.

If the Independence Day in the past was mainly simple rallies and parades but still full of national spirit, now National Day has become a great festival for all people with colorful cultural and artistic spaces. That change does not lose the core value, but rather enhances the meaning of the festival, reminding today's generations to appreciate, preserve and continue the precious traditions left by their ancestors.
The moment when the sea of people in the Square looked up at the first fireworks bursting into the sky was an unforgettable moment. Each spark blossomed into a brilliant flower, illuminating the entire space. The sound of the fireworks echoed like the urging beat of a drum, like the resounding song of the mountains and rivers.
Children cheered with delight, adults looked up in deep emotion. The whole Square seemed to be quiet in a moment that was both brilliant and sacred.

In that joy, Ms. Hoang Nhu Quynh, a resident of Gia Sang ward, excitedly shared: In previous years, I was often busy so I only watched the events on TV. This year, taking my children to the place and watching the fireworks together, I felt extremely happy. I understand that Independence Day is not only a holiday, but also an opportunity to remind children to understand history and the value of freedom.
According to comrade Duong Van Luong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Dinh Phung Ward: As one of three localities in the province selected to organize an art program and fireworks display to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the ward has mobilized forces and closely coordinated to ensure security and order, helping people participate in the festival safely and enthusiastically.
From today's joy, people will have more motivation and confidence to join hands to build Phan Dinh Phung ward and Thai Nguyen province to become more civilized and prosperous.

The night of art and fireworks celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 has ended, but the echoes still spread. On the streets, people lingered, exchanging stories and smiles. Children enthusiastically told stories about the most brilliant fireworks, adults discussed the emotional art performances. That joy did not stop at one night, but would become a far-reaching stream, a driving force for tomorrow.
Today’s Independence Day is a continuation of the old days, from simple joy to full happiness, from the desire for independence to the desire for development. In the sparkling light of fireworks, Thai Nguyen is together with the whole country writing new pages of history, pages of peace, prosperity and lasting faith in the future.
