Hundreds of people wearing Ao Dai cycle on the streets of Hue

Hundreds of people participated in the activity 'Ao Dai and cycling for the environment'.

(PLVN) - On the morning of June 29, at Hue National School Monument, Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism organized the activity "Ao Dai and cycling for the environment".

The activity is in response to the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 taking place from June 24 to 30, chaired by the Department of Culture and Sports (VHTT) of Thua Thien Hue province and aimed at celebrating Vietnam Tourism Day.

The event was attended by nearly 200 members including officers, employees, and workers of units such as: Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports, Institute for Development Studies, Tourism Association (with member associations: Travel, Hotels, Tour Guides), Business Association, Hue Women Entrepreneurs Association, School of Tourism (Hue University), Hue College of Tourism and units and enterprises operating in the field of tourism - services in Thua Thien Hue province. In addition, there was also the response of local people and tourists.

Activities in response to Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 taking place from June 24 - 30.

According to the program, parade participants will wear traditional ao dai and cycle through the central streets of Hue city following the route: Quoc Hoc Monument - Le Loi Street - Bui Thi Xuan Street - Da Vien Bridge - Le Duan Street - Quang Duc Gate - Ong Ich Khiem Street - Le Huan Street - Dang Thai Than Street - Doan Thi Diem Street - Mai Thuc Loan Street - Dinh Tien Hoang Street - Tran Hung Dao Street - Truong Tien Bridge - Le Loi Street - Quoc Hoc Monument with a length of about 8km.

The leader of the Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism said that this is also an activity to mobilize local people and tourists to join hands in responding to the community sports movement, improving health and moving towards a "Green - Clean - Bright" Hue, widely spreading the title "Hue - ASEAN Clean Tourism City". At the same time, this is also an opportunity for units and businesses operating in the field of tourism - services in Thua Thien Hue province to meet, exchange and introduce the beautiful images of their units to join hands in promoting tourism development.

Cyclists all wear ao dai, creating an impressive image for Hue city.

On this occasion, in Thua Thien Hue province, competitions, festivals, research and launching of wearing Ao Dai were also held at many agencies, units, schools and Dong Ba market.
