Becamex TP.HCM Club announced that two foreign strikers, Ugochukwu Oduenyi and Origbaajo Ismaila, are preparing to join the team after being granted visas to enter Vietnam.
The two Nigerian players are expected to be present this evening, September 20. The team did not specify how the two entered Vietnam, whether it was a 30-day tourist visa or a work visa.
Anyway, the fact that Ugochukwu Oduenyi and Origbaajo Ismaila are joining the team is good news for coach Anh Duc's team. However, it is not certain that both of them will play in round 4 of V-League 2025-2026.
This afternoon, Becamex TP.HCM will have a training session before welcoming Ho Chi Minh City Police at 6pm tomorrow, September 21, at Binh Duong Stadium. One of the two foreign players will take the opportunity to practice to regain strength.
Meanwhile, the remaining foreign players will be present tonight, but most likely will not be able to compete on September 21. Thus, Becamex TP.HCM can use a maximum of 3 foreign players.
According to the V-League 2025-2026 regulations, each club registers 4 foreign players but only gets 3 slots to compete. Teams participating in international competitions also use 3 slots for domestic competitions.
The fact that Becamex TP.HCM has been missing two foreign strikers since September 8 has left many problems for coach Anh Duc. It will certainly affect the performance in the match against Cong An TP.HCM.
Coach Anh Duc's team has 3 points with only 1 win after 3 matches. Becamex TP.HCM is ranked 9th on the V-League 2025-2026 rankings.
Before that, they were eliminated by Truong Tuoi Dong Nai in the National Cup with a score of 1-3.
