Coach Ten Hag was shown a yellow card when he protested to the referee that his team should be awarded a throw-in in the 90+5 minute of extra time.

This is the third time the 53-year-old coach has received a yellow card after 12 rounds of Premier League matches, meaning he will have to watch the match between Man Utd and Everton after the November international break.

Ten Hag had previously received yellow cards against Tottenham and Arsenal earlier in the season, and three yellow cards carries a one-match touchline ban.

When asked about the yellow card he received after the match, coach Ten Hag explained: "It was a very clear moment, a throw-in we should have had. It was even the second time the referee made a wrong decision, when our team was ahead. I reacted and got booked."

Regarding his absence from the upcoming match, coach Ten Hag said that his team will not have any big problems with this. "We have a very capable coaching staff and they will direct for me. Of course, to some extent I can participate, but as I said, my coaching staff is very capable."

The Dutch strategist also said that Man Utd's victory over Luton is the important issue, as the players will regain their spirit in the race for rankings in the Premier League.

"Yes and we could have made this game easier by scoring more goals," coach Ten Hag said of his team's performance.

"We created a lot of chances, in the first half I saw four chances that could have been goals. If you get the first and second goals, it becomes easier, but if you don't score, you know that it's easier to make more mistakes and get into big problems.

Luckily we knew how to fight to end up with a victory. It may not have been the prettiest but if you watch the performance, you can see we created many chances and we are very happy with the final result," the Dutch strategist concluded.

The victory over Luton helped Man Utd temporarily rise to 6th place in the Premier League table after 12 rounds. However, the "Red Devils" had to pay a very high price when star duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were injured.

"At this moment, I cannot say anything about their injuries. We do the assessment and have to wait 24 hours to have a conclusion. So we will let the medical team have 24 hours to see what the problem is," coach Ten Hag expressed.
