Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project to be completed in early August 2025

On July 7, Mr. Tran Van Thi, Director of My Thuan Project Management Board, said that the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project (connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces) has so far completed all 6/6 bridges on the route, including: the main cable-stayed bridge, Xoai Hot bridge, My Tho bridge, Tam Son bridge, Ba Lai bridge and Song Ma bridge.

Overall, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project has reached more than 96.5%.

According to Mr. Thi, the overall progress of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project has reached more than 96.5%. Of which, the road and approach road to Rach Mieu 2 Bridge have been basically completed, the construction unit is completing the installation of median strips, road markings, lighting, etc., which will be completed before July 20.

The main cable-stayed bridge is preparing to deploy asphalt concrete paving work.

The main cable-stayed bridge has completed the casting of guardrails, installation of railings, median strips and expansion joints. Currently, the asphalt concrete pavement is being deployed.

After that, we will continue to complete the bridge's auxiliary items, cable-stayed/shock absorber vibration measurement experiments, and carry out bridge load testing... According to My Thuan Project Management Board, the entire Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project will be completed by early August 2025.

The construction unit is completing the installation of lighting.

Currently, at the construction site, there are nearly 600 workers and technical staff of the units continuing to maintain the construction "3 shifts, 4 teams" with 30 construction teams and 150 construction equipment. All are determined to complete the project as directed by the Prime Minister .

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project has its starting point at Dong Tam intersection (intersection between National Highway 1 and Provincial Road 870) in Dong Thap province; the project's end point is at about Km16+660 National Highway 60, about 0.71km from the northern abutment of Ham Luong Bridge, in Vinh Long province. The project has a total investment of more than 6,810 billion VND, with My Thuan Project Management Board as the investor.

The construction unit is completing the installation of median strips and road markings.

Rach Mieu 2 main bridge is a cable-stayed bridge, with a length of 1,971.2m, a 4-lane level III delta road, the total length of the project is about 17.6km. When completed, the project will help reduce pressure on the existing Rach Mieu bridge, minimizing traffic congestion on weekends and holidays.
