(NLDO) - Representative of Brooklyn Primary and Secondary School (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) admitted to errors in advertising.

On the afternoon of December 11, a reporter from the Lao Dong Newspaper had a working session with representatives of Brooklyn Primary and Secondary School.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Cam, introduced as the school manager, and Mr. Tong Van Dang, in charge of managing the school's infrastructure, said that the school is in the process of applying for a license to operate education and enroll students. "There is nothing yet," this person affirmed.

Faced with information that the school had begun enrolling students and that students had actually enrolled even though it had not been licensed to operate education, the school representative said that the students were only visiting the school's facilities.

Admitting shortcomings in advertising and inappropriate advertising, Mr. Tong Van Dang said that the locality and relevant authorities have worked and drawn up a record to punish the school for administrative violations in the field of advertising.

According to the representative, the school has also made a commitment and paid the fine according to regulations. "All issues such as operating license, international joint training program license are just orientation, demo operation, in the process of application" - said the representative.

Currently, the school is in the process of repairing and renovating to meet fire prevention and fighting requirements and regulations. In case of errors such as incorrect school names and banners, the school will return to the registered name or make adjustments if it wants to name the school differently.

When the reporter confirmed once again that the parent provided information that students were actually enrolled, this person said that to operate the school, a lot of preparation time is needed, so the school only... borrowed students so that the teachers could get used to teaching.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, although not yet licensed to operate education, Brooklyn Primary and Secondary School still advertised for enrollment and had students enrolled.

Confirming with Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 10, said that Brooklyn Primary and Secondary School does not have a license to operate education.

According to the reporter's investigation, the investor of Brooklyn Primary and Secondary School is New Era Education Investment Company Limited. However, according to Decision No. 5855 dated October 28, 2024 of the People's Committee of District 10, New Era Education Investment Company Limited is the investor of Suoi Linh Primary and Secondary School (located on Hoang Du Khuong Street, District 10). However, the enrollment announcement banner at the beginning of the street and in front of the school is named Brooklyn.
