According to Engadget , after multiple announcements of release delays, Hogwarts Legacy is now available for the Nintendo Switch handheld console.
The Harry Potter-themed wizarding game was previously released in February this year for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms, followed by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions in May. However, the Switch version's release was hit with problems, with the game initially delayed to July, but fans were forced to wait until November 14 to experience it.
Hogwarts Legacy has arrived on Nintendo Switch
Hogwarts Legacy developers say the Switch version is being delayed so they can create the best possible experience for players. The Switch's aging hardware may also be to blame, as this isn't the first time third-party publishers have had trouble bringing their games to Nintendo's seven-year-old console.
Hogwarts Legacy is based on the famous Harry Potter series, a prequel that takes place more than a hundred years before Harry and his friends entered the wizarding school. The game allows players to customize their characters, choose Hogwarts House to join and learn magical skills.
The game is now available on the Nintendo Store for $60. There's also a Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition with the Dark Arts Pack and new arenas for $70.
Since its release, Hogwarts Legacy has sold millions of copies, making it one of the best-selling games of 2023 so far.
