Dien Bien TV - On April 24, the working delegation of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council of the 15th tenure, led by Comrade Quàng Văn Hương, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, inspected and evaluated the results of the implementation of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, phase 1 from 2021-2025 in Quai Nua Commune, Tuan Giao District. Joining the delegation on the side of Dien Bien province were Comrade Lo Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of a number of relevant departments and branches.

In the 2021-2025 period, Tuan Giao district has implemented 9/10 sub-projects of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas; the total capital allocated for the 2021-2025 period is over 603 billion VND. Thanks to the effective implementation of the Program, many areas of socio -economic development and rural appearance of the district have improved; the poverty rate of the whole district has decreased from 49.73% in 2021 to 25.47% by the end of 2024.

Tuan Giao District People's Committee proposed that the Government, ministries and central branches continue to expand the scope of implementation of Resolution No. 111 dated January 18 of the National Assembly on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to implement national target programs to the commune level; continue to pay attention to and increase investment capital support for the district to invest in essential infrastructure serving production...

Particularly in Quai Nua commune, Tuan Giao district implemented 4/10 sub-projects of the National Target Program for the period 2021-2025; the total allocated career capital reached over 3 billion VND. With the goal of restructuring the agricultural sector, from the Program's capital, Quai Nua commune focused on developing the macadamia growing area. Currently, the total macadamia growing area in the commune reached over 1,000 hectares...

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council Quang Van Huong acknowledged the efforts of Tuan Giao district, especially Quai Nua commune, in organizing the implementation of the Program. He suggested that the locality should continue to pay attention to developing models and projects suitable to practical conditions, especially the local key crop of macadamia; focus on developing the area of ​​fruit trees and coffee... at the same time, promote the propaganda of ethnic policies; invest in infrastructure; support people in accessing capital and applying technology in production... Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the localities, the working group will receive and synthesize reports to submit to competent authorities for consideration in the coming time.
