On September 23, the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Council visited and listened to and recorded recommendations for private healthcare development discussed at the MEDLATEC Healthcare System.
The event demonstrates the Government 's interest in the role and contribution of private healthcare, while affirming MEDLATEC's reputation in sharing experiences and proposing solutions for policy development, contributing to improving the quality of public healthcare.
MEDLATEC Healthcare System - a typical private healthcare model
MEDLATEC is honored to be the chosen destination for the tour of the Prime Minister 's Policy Advisory Council. |
In the Vietnamese health system, private health care is expected to be an “extended arm” supporting public health care. Resolution 72-NQ/TW and the increasingly improved legal framework have opened up many opportunities for fair and transparent development for the non-public health sector.
However, to fully exploit strengths, continuing to improve policies and remove barriers is still an urgent requirement, aiming to build a solid "support" for the modern healthcare system.
In that context, the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Council - a place where the nation's intellectual elite converges, with the mission of advising, criticizing, and creating macro policies - has chosen the MEDLATEC Healthcare System (https://medlatec.vn/) as a destination for visiting and exchanging.
MEDLATEC is a private healthcare unit with 30 years of experience, highly appreciated for its solid professional capacity, rich practical experience and commitment to accompany the Government in building a comprehensive healthcare system.
This is a typical model for the working group to learn about the operating mechanism and development orientation of non-public healthcare, while opening up opportunities to discuss policies, promote cooperation and improve the quality of healthcare services for the people.

Outstanding achievements, comprehensive digital transformation and proposed private healthcare policy
Within the framework of the program, MEDLATEC had the opportunity to present to the Council on strategic areas and highlights that have contributed to building the brand, thereby boldly proposing opinions, providing a comprehensive and objective perspective.
First of all, the home sample collection service (https://medlatec.vn/dich-vu/xet-nghiem-lay-mau-tai-nha) - a pioneering initiative deployed by MEDLATEC since 1996. This superior medical utility helps customers save time, effort and ensures safety, especially in the context of an epidemic.
Next, the delegation visited the MEDLATEC Testing Center. This place is equipped with a synchronous system of modern, fully automatic machines, capable of performing about 1.1 million samples/month.
In addition, the unit quickly and accurately serves more than 2,000 test categories from basic to advanced, manages two international standards in parallel, ISO 15189:2022 and CAP (USA), and is the first medical service to be honored as a Vietnamese National Brand.

Another key content presented in the program was a report on the activities of the MEDLATEC Imaging Diagnostic Center. The two key factors that make the difference from other units are technology and centralized remote film reading process.
In addition, MEDLATEC also impresses with its comprehensive digital transformation strategy. With a long-term vision and clear strategic direction, the unit has invested early in developing technology infrastructure, building a smart hospital management software ecosystem, applying artificial intelligence (AI) in supporting diagnosis and treatment, and especially widely deploying online medical services.
In particular, Dr. Nguyen Tri Anh, representative of the Board of Directors and staff, presented proposals on issues of concern for private healthcare.
The presentation is based on the experience of operating a unit with a solid foundation of experience, while also incorporating a policy perspective, emphasizing the role, opportunities and challenges that the non-public health sector is facing in the context of developing a comprehensive health system.
