Cooperation to create an international standard ecosystem in Vietnam

Hanoi Medical University, Vinmec Healthcare System and VinUni University signed a memorandum of understanding on October 3, marking a new milestone in training, research and clinical practice, aiming to build a comprehensive, international-standard healthcare ecosystem right in Vietnam.

According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in implementing joint activities in teaching, training, human resource development and scientific research. In teaching and training, the parties will coordinate in developing training content and materials, exchanging lecturers and learners according to the needs and capacities of each party for all training programs of each party. In scientific research, the parties will build a mechanism to coordinate the development and implementation of research in areas of common interest, creating conditions for staff, employees and learners of both sides to participate in research.

The parties agreed to develop lecturer and expert exchange programs that are suitable to the needs and capabilities of each party. In addition, they will also coordinate to organize seminars, forums, workshops, student support programs, career guidance, connections, internship programs, and recruitment cooperation...

This cooperation not only helps improve the quality of training and research but also optimizes resources and strengthens the capacity of medical examination, treatment and health care in Vietnam.

Hanoi Medical University, with more than a century of training and research, plays a leading role in Vietnam's medical industry, connecting traditional knowledge with innovation, continuing to be a fulcrum for national healthcare development.

Meanwhile, with a nationwide hospital-clinic system and extensive international cooperation network, Vinmec takes on the role of a modern clinical practice center, conducting large-scale research and realizing training initiatives.

VinUni University, with its modern research environment and global mindset, is contributing to nurturing a generation of creative healthcare professionals with the capacity to integrate internationally.

In the coming period, the three parties will promote joint research groups on modern medical technology (AI, robots, big data), expand clinical internship opportunities at internationally standard facilities, and organize academic exchange programs, scientific forums and community activities.

This is an opportunity to connect the strengths of training experience, academic foundation and modern clinical practice system, thereby forming a team of medical human resources with solid expertise, rich in innovative thinking and ready to apply advanced technology to serve the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan highly appreciated the signing of cooperation between the parties, this is a very effective combination between one side with a 123-year tradition, a cradle of training medical human resources and the other side representing new, modern developments in training as well as scientific research.

In particular, in the context that the Party and State have just issued a series of Resolutions on the development of science and technology, private economy, training, health care, etc., opening up a new legal corridor, the signing of cooperation will create a breakthrough for related fields.

The signing of the cooperation agreement at a time when the head of the health sector assessed that it had all the factors of "heavenly time, favorable location, and favorable people" was expected to contribute to strengthening public-private cooperation in the health sector; improving training of health human resources; promoting the model of institute-school cooperation... as well as opening up many development opportunities for all parties.

As the coordinating agency for implementing Resolution 72/NQ-TW of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health, the Ministry of Health will actively support so that cooperation contents will be concretized through specific programs and products.

"This is a common task of the health sector, so relevant units under the Ministry of Health will support to achieve many specific results, which can be a model that can be expanded to other units," Minister Dao Hong Lan emphasized.
