Scientific workshop "History of Quang Tri women's movement in the period 1930 - 2025"

Today, June 16, the Women's Union of Quang Tri province organized a scientific seminar "History of the Quang Tri women's movement in the period 1930 - 2025".

The book “History of the women's movement in Quang Tri province (1930 - 2025)” was formed on the basis of supplementing and editing the book “Quang Tri women's movement 1930 - 2005”, published in 2007 and researching and compiling a new “History of the women's movement in Quang Tri 2005 - 2025”. This is a scientific work of meticulous and in-depth research, objectively and honestly recreating the 95-year journey full of challenges, hardships but also great pride of Quang Tri women.

After the first workshop held on May 14, with many important contributions from delegates, the editorial board seriously absorbed the opinions and suggestions from witnesses and delegates; reported to the steering committee for comments and directions for supplementation and revision.

Accordingly, the draft has been supplemented with a preface, conclusion, appendix and photos of activities; the content of "History of the Quang Tri Women's Movement in the period 2006 - 2025" has been adjusted and edited to be concise and condensed. At the same time, it focuses on highlighting the results and marks of the emulation movement, the campaign, the main tasks, and the typical advanced examples of the association in each specific period. There is a more flexible and agile continuity between the previous and later periods.

At this workshop, the editorial board continued to receive many insightful comments from former leaders of the Provincial Women's Union through the periods, and representatives of departments and branches. The content focuses on the experience of compiling history for the period 1930-2005; suggests ways to express the flow between chapters; ensures continuity as well as the ideas of previous authors; corrects the titles of some leaders and union officials; proposes to present "The history of the Quang Tri women's movement for the period 2005-2025" as a new, independent book,...

Concluding the workshop, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Tran Thi Thanh Ha highly appreciated the comments on the draft "History of the Quang Tri Women's Movement in the period 1930-2025". The editorial board will take them into account to supplement and complete the draft book.
