On October 5, at the hall of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Veterans Association organized the 2023 Competition for Excellent Veterans Association Leaders.
Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Veterans Association; Provincial Farmers' Association; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee; Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Veterans' Associations of districts and cities.
The 2023 Competition for Excellent War Veterans Association Presidents has 18 official candidates and 9 reserve candidates from 8 War Veterans Associations of districts, cities and the War Veterans Association of provincial agencies and enterprises.
The contestants participating in the contest are typical war veterans who have won high prizes in the competition for War Veterans Association Chiefs at commune, cluster, district and city levels, representing 1,704 War Veterans Association Chiefs in the whole province.

At the contest, candidates compete in 3 rounds: Aptitude test, theory test and practice test.
In the talent contest, the contestants will perform a cultural and artistic performance of their choice; in the theory contest, the contestants will draw lots and answer questions from the Organizing Committee of the Contest on the main contents of the Resolution of the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association for the 2022-2027 term; regulations in the Charter of the Vietnam Veterans Association; regimes and policies of the Party, State and localities for veterans; basic contents on the work of building the Association and its members...
In the practical exam, each candidate, in the position of Branch Head, practiced one of the regular conferences of the War Veterans Association branch that he/she was in charge of, including: Talking about current events, performing arts activities, telling traditional stories, or reviewing member discipline; regular activities as the head of a savings and loan group; conducting a selection review for loan members of the loan group...
After a day of exciting competition, with careful preparation in all aspects, encouragement and support from members of the Veterans Association and delegates attending the competition, the contestants successfully completed the competition. The Organizing Committee awarded certificates and prizes to 18 individuals and 9 groups with achievements at the competition.
In which, the first prize for the whole group belongs to Nho Quan Veterans Association; second prize for Veterans Association of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises; third prize for Tam Diep City Veterans Association.
Through the contest, candidates have the opportunity to comprehensively and deeply research the activities of the Veterans Association; exchange and learn experiences, improve their qualifications, professional knowledge, skills and skills in working with the Association at the grassroots level.
The results of the competition help the Association at all levels to assess the actual capacity and qualifications of the staff who are branch heads of the Veterans Association at the grassroots level; thereby, having a training plan to improve qualifications, knowledge, and skills to meet the assigned tasks.
