Lai Chau: Training on tax policy and information technology skills for tax officials

At the conference, the attending officials listened to Deputy Head of Lai Chau Provincial Tax Tran Manh Cuong and Deputy Head of Data Administration and Risk Management Nguyen Lam Khanh introduce, disseminate and guide important contents.

The training content focuses on new points of the Law on Tax Administration and specialized tax laws including value added tax, corporate income tax and personal income tax. In addition, new regulations on invoices and documents are also updated in detail.

An important part of the training program is the improvement of technology skills. The speakers introduced and provided specific instructions on the use of information technology applications deployed according to the 2-tier local government model. In particular, the conference also mentioned the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in tax management, an inevitable trend to modernize and improve work efficiency.

During the conference, the learning and exchange atmosphere was lively. The civil servants actively asked questions and discussed real-life situations to clarify the remaining issues; contributing significantly to the unification of understanding and ensuring the synchronous and accurate application of new policies throughout the area. Thereby, the skills of applying technology in tax management of the civil servants were also consolidated and improved.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the conference, Deputy Head of Lai Chau Provincial Tax Department Tran Manh Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the serious learning spirit, the active exchange and discussion attitude of all participating civil servants. At the same time, he emphasized that the continuous equipping and updating of professional knowledge and skills is a mandatory requirement to meet the tasks in the new situation, directly contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of tax management work in the locality.

The Deputy Head of Lai Chau Tax also requested that all civil servants continue to promote the spirit of self-study, self-training, and continuous research to improve their qualifications, thereby performing public duties seriously, professionally and in compliance with legal regulations.
