According to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, the subjects taking the high school graduation exam this year include: candidates who are students studying in grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year will register to take the exam online; independent candidates will register to take the exam and register for high school graduation recognition (if any) directly at the unit prescribed by the Department of Education and Training.

Candidates can try to register for the high school graduation exam from April 26.

From April 26 to April 28, high schools will provide candidates studying in grade 12 for the 2022-2023 school year with an account (the candidate's citizen identification number or identity card; if the candidate does not have one, the personal identification number will be used); if the candidate does not have Vietnamese nationality, the candidate's passport number will be used instead and a password will be given to access the exam management system.

Candidates can try to register for the exam online on the exam management system right after being given an account and password. From April 26 to 30, schools will organize for candidates to try to register for the exam online on the exam management system.

From May 4 to 5 p.m. on May 13, high schools will organize for 12th graders to officially register for the exam online. At the same time, the Department of Education and Training will organize for independent candidates to register for the exam directly.

At the training conference on the organization of the 2023 high school graduation exam, Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training), emphasized a number of changes that candidates need to pay attention to from the exam registration stage.

Accordingly, before filling out the registration form, candidates need to carefully read the sections and instructions for filling out the form issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. If there are any unclear points, they must ask the registration officer for full instructions. Candidates are fully responsible for the information declared in the registration form.

The Ministry of Education and Training requires the exam registration units to be responsible for guiding candidates to prepare documents to declare on the high school graduation exam registration form on the software (for candidates registering online) or fill in the exam registration form (for candidates registering directly) with complete and correct information.

Review the application for high school graduation recognition to ensure the accuracy of the information candidates fill in the application form for high school graduation recognition, especially information on priority areas to receive priority points (if any); review and decide on the candidate's exam eligibility, absolutely do not accept invalid applications.

Units also have the responsibility to guide candidates to declare on information software to enjoy priority in university and college admissions; review the information declared by candidates and the documents and evidence submitted by candidates.
