More than 1,000 artists participate in the 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition in Hoi An

(Fatherland) - In 2025, the 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition will take place from April 9 to 13 with the participation of 32 choirs and more than 1,000 artists from countries and territories.

On February 28, the People's Committee of Hoi An City ( Quang Nam Province) informed about the 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition, Hoi An in 2025.

According to the People's Committee of Hoi An City, since 2011, the International Choir Competition has been organized by Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province in collaboration with the Interkultur Association (Germany) every two years in Hoi An. The event has left a deep impression and good feelings in the hearts of participating artists, people and tourists.

In 2025, the 8th competition will take place from April 9 to 13 with the participation of 32 choirs with more than 1,000 artists from countries and territories such as: Canada, Poland, Korea, Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The groups will compete in 11 competitions in 7 categories with performances that both ensure the strict technical requirements of choir and express the unique identity of each country that is the choir's homeland...

The contest is an opportunity for Hoi An, Quang Nam, Vietnam to introduce its cultural and tourism images to international friends; a cultural bridge between nations, contributing to spreading the appeal of choral art and strengthening friendship between participating countries.

The opening ceremony of the competition will take place at 8:00 p.m. on April 9 at Hoi An Theater (532 Hai Ba Trung Street) with professional and unique performances from choirs and performances introducing the local culture of the host Hoi An, promising to bring the audience into an emotional space of music and friendship.

Within the framework of the competition, people and tourists will enjoy exciting competitions of choirs and experience many cultural activities such as: Art performance on the river "Hoai Giang Night", Re-enactment of "Hoi An Ancient Town Night in the early 20th century", Street choir performance "International Melody" and visit cultural and tourist attractions in Hoi An.
