On the morning of August 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship (Sihub), the Korea-Vietnam Trade Promotion Center (KORETOVIET), the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups of Korea, and the Jeonbuk Province Center for Creative Economic Innovation (JBCCEI) jointly organized the "Trade Promotion Festival - the gateway connecting the Korean-Vietnamese market 2025" (Mega Us Expo 2025).
The event is hosted by the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, taking place from August 14 to 16 at the White Palace Convention Center, Hoang Van Thu (Duc Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
This is one of the strategic cooperation activities between JBCCEI and the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City to promote creative startups, incubate startup projects, encourage entrepreneurial spirit, promote commercialization and technology transfer between the two countries.

With the theme “The Door Connecting the Korean-Vietnamese Market”, this year’s Mega Us Expo has more than 200 booths from Korea and startup support organizations in Vietnam participating, introducing nearly 1,550 new products in many fields such as food, cosmetics, technology, content creation, lifestyle products, etc.
Within the framework of the event, there will also be a Vietnamese-Korean startup pitching activity before investment funds (Venture Star); the final round of the 2025 Vietnamese-Korean Student Startup Idea Competition (Univ. Star); trade connection between 200 Vietnamese-Korean enterprises; an exhibition displaying specialized technology solutions...
At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung said that in general, the socio-economic situation of Ho Chi Minh City in the first 6 months of 2025 had a growth rate of 7.82% compared to the same period in 2024. Industrial production and commercial activities were expanded, contributing positively to the city's economic growth.

Enterprises proactively adapt to new technical requirements, speeding up progress to serve increasingly demanding export markets. Domestic and international trade promotion programs are continuously and effectively implemented, supporting enterprises to expand markets, making the most of the free trade agreements that Vietnam has signed.
“Mega Us Expo is not only a trade festival but also a vivid demonstration of the deep, strong and increasingly developing strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea, especially between Ho Chi Minh City and Korean partners. International cooperation in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation is increasingly becoming a key factor in enhancing our competitiveness in the international arena,” said Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Dung.

At Mega Us Expo alone, in the past 3 years, there have been 4,500 B2B connections and nearly 460 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) signed.
At Mega Us Expo 2025, the organizers aim to attract 9,000 visitors and 2,000 business connection sessions.
In addition, with more than 30 startup support centers, leading institutes and schools in Korea and innovation support organizations in Vietnam participating, it is expected to contribute to promoting sustainable cooperation, forming incubation programs, joint ventures in technology production and commercialization between the two countries.
