Khanh Thanh Commune Safe Agricultural Products Production and Consumption Cooperative was recognized as a typical national cooperative in 2024.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has just issued a Decision to recognize 63 outstanding cooperatives nationwide in 2024, which were promoted, mobilized, supported, and established by the Vietnam Farmers' Union. Among them, Ninh Binh province has a cooperative producing and consuming safe agricultural products in Khanh Thanh commune (Yen Khanh) that has been recognized.

Khanh Thanh Commune Safe Agricultural Products Production and Consumption Cooperative was established in 2016, specializing in vegetable production according to VietGap standards, ensuring food hygiene and safety. The products of the Cooperative are consumed in safe agricultural product stores and supermarkets in and outside the province. On average, the Cooperative consumes about 10 tons of vegetables, tubers, and fruits of all kinds every day, with productivity and value many times higher than that of rice cultivation. Currently, the Cooperative has 275 members, with total revenue from households participating in the Cooperative reaching about 600 million VND/ha/year.

This is the second year that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has organized the recognition of outstanding cooperatives nationwide.
