(Dan Tri) - Due to losses in real estate investment, Tram in Lam Dong impersonated an education official to defraud and appropriate nearly 1 billion VND from many teachers.
On December 16, Lam Dong Provincial Police announced that they had arrested Duong Thi Le Tram, 30 years old, residing in Phu Hoi Commune, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong to investigate the act of fraud and property appropriation.
According to the police investigation, Duong Thi Le Tram used to be a contract teacher at a school in Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district. In 2016, Tram quit teaching and switched to real estate brokerage and investment.

By October 2023, due to losses in real estate investment, Tram had the intention of defrauding and appropriating people's property.
Tram then made a name tag, claiming to be from the Lam Dong province education sector, and then met with teachers who wanted to transfer to another work unit to "run" jobs.
Trusting Tram, 11 teachers in Lam Dong transferred money to her to "run errands". The police determined that Tram had defrauded and appropriated nearly 1 billion VND from the victims.
Working with the police, Duong Thi Le Tram initially confessed to her actions.
