Hue builds two inter-level boarding schools in mountainous communes of A Luoi

(Dan Tri) - On August 30, the People's Committee of Hue City held a ceremony to launch two projects of primary and secondary boarding schools in mountainous communes of A Luoi.

Hue City has started construction of two inter-level boarding school projects in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes, in the mountainous district of A Luoi (old). This is part of a master plan to improve the quality of education and facilities for ethnic minority children.

In A Luoi 3 commune, a new inter-level boarding school project will be built in Can Sam village, with a total area of ​​nearly 5 hectares.

This school is expected to meet the learning needs of about 1,527 students, including classrooms, subject rooms, library, multi-purpose hall, dormitory, kitchen, teachers' housing, sports field and auxiliary items.

In parallel, the project will also upgrade and renovate Hong Thai Primary School and Hong Thuong Primary School, serving more than 500 primary boarding students. The total investment for this project is 232 billion VND.

In A Luoi 4 commune, the inter-level boarding school project will be implemented on an area of ​​nearly 5 hectares, serving 1,842 students. The project includes the construction of a new central school and the upgrading and renovation of two existing schools in A Roang 2 and Ka Roong - A Ho villages. The total investment for the project in A Luoi 4 is more than 278 billion VND.

Both of these key projects are expected to be completed before August 2026, ready to welcome students in the 2026-2027 school year.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, emphasized the importance of these projects.

He affirmed that these are strategic projects, not only meeting the needs of safe and adequate education and living for children of ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, but also contributing to improving people's knowledge, creating a source of ethnic minority cadres, promoting socio-economic development associated with strengthening national defense and security.

Hue city leaders pledged to direct decisively and mobilize maximum resources to ensure the project is completed on schedule and with quality.

According to the Hue City People's Committee, the above two projects are part of a larger plan, including the construction of four new boarding schools and inter-level boarding schools in the centers of A Luoi 1, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4 and A Luoi 5 communes.

At the same time, the city will also upgrade, renovate and expand the existing Ethnic Boarding Secondary School in A Luoi 2 commune into a multi-level boarding school.

In addition, 12 existing primary and secondary schools in 5 mountainous border communes will also be invested in upgrading and renovating to maintain teaching and learning.

The total expected investment capital for all projects to build new, upgrade, renovate and expand schools in these 5 border communes is up to about 1,200 billion VND.
