Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen, said that the development of educational technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), has opened up opportunities for innovation in teaching, assessment and management. Therefore, the whole industry has proactively promoted the application of information technology and synchronous digital transformation.

Accordingly, the department directed schools to increase the application of technology and AI, towards an open, flexible, modern, learner-centered education. Teachers effectively exploit digital learning materials, AI, ChatGPT, Canva, Quizizz, Google Gemini... to design electronic lesson plans, adjusting content to suit students' abilities.

According to Ms. Phuong, up to now, the digital infrastructure at educational institutions in the province is basically complete, 100% of schools have high-speed Internet, and management software is deployed on data platforms and digital technology .

Notably, 100% of primary education institutions have applied Digital Transcripts, while junior high schools, high schools and vocational training centers are piloting them. Equipping teachers with digital signatures and continuous support from the Department and the Ministry of Education and Training has ensured the effective conversion process; Many schools organize competitions on the Internet, attracting a large number of students to participate, building a Smart Education Ecosystem, connecting with the database of the Ministry of Education and Training, developing a shared digital learning resource for the entire industry...

Effective management and teaching through technology

At Hoa Binh Primary and Secondary School (Vu Thu Commune), a detailed roadmap has been developed since the beginning of the new school year. Ms. Doan Thi Thu Ha - Principal said that the teaching staff has been trained to master new tools. Currently, 100% of teachers and students are proficient in using software (e-Doc electronic lesson plan management, digital report card, e-Learning, AI tools) to serve teaching and learning. On the other hand, teachers regularly use projectors, interactive boards, audio-visual equipment and Violet teaching support software to teach, enhance the effectiveness of lectures and innovate teaching methods; exploit and use Testpro Engine software for multiple-choice tests, grade multiple-choice tests in mid-term and final assessment tests, graduation mock exams, etc.

At Nguyen Duc Canh High School - a pioneer in digital transformation in recent years, it has invested in synchronous information technology infrastructure and software, effectively applying digital technology to management, teaching, testing and evaluation.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bac - Vice Principal said that classrooms are equipped with computers, televisions or projectors connected to high-speed Internet, creating maximum convenience for applying technology in teaching and learning. Management work is fully digitized through specialized software such as SMAS to manage records and scores of students and teachers; using TEMIS to evaluate teachers' professional standards; MISA for financial and accounting work.

In addition, personnel record management systems, interconnected offices and Zalo groups are fully utilized, helping information exchange take place quickly and accurately.

Vice Principal of Nguyen Duc Canh High School assessed that the application of digital technology has brought a new breeze to the classroom. Online platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams help teachers maintain teaching in all conditions. Meanwhile, lesson design tools such as Canva, Padlet, PowerPoint and simulation software GeoGebra, Desmos help lessons become more intuitive, vivid and interactive.

The school also encourages the application of modern teaching models such as Flipped Classroom and Project-Based Learning, thereby helping students actively explore and discover knowledge. In particular, the exploitation of digital learning resources, lecture videos, 3D simulations and AI applications have significantly improved the effectiveness of teaching.

“100% of staff, teachers and students are managed on digital systems such as SMAS, TEMIS and industry databases. This not only helps manage records effectively, but also facilitates the analysis and accurate assessment of teaching and learning quality,” Mr. Bac informed.

It can be affirmed that digital transformation has brought many outstanding benefits to the Hung Yen education sector. Thanks to the online platform, students can study without being limited by space and time. Communication and learning with schools becomes easier. For teachers, digital tools help prepare, grade papers and manage classes more effectively, with intuitive and vivid lectures thanks to videos, simulations and learning games.
