Tuyen Quang implements support policy for students in disadvantaged areas

GD&TĐ - On September 26, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province announced the issuance of a document directing the implementation of support policies for students in disadvantaged areas.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just issued a document directing the implementation of Decree No. 66/2025/ND-CP of the Government on policies for nursery children, students, and trainees in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, coastal areas, islands and educational institutions with policy beneficiaries.

According to the direction, relevant departments, branches and localities urgently and promptly deploy policies and regimes to ensure the legitimate rights of students, especially in disadvantaged areas.

Previously, according to Decision No. 87, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province specifically stipulated the distance and area as the basis for determining students who cannot go back and forth during the day; the list of pages providing personal belongings and school supplies for ethnic boarding students, and general education facilities assigned by competent authorities to carry out the task of educating ethnic boarding students in Tuyen Quang province.

The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over guiding, appraising, making a list and submitting it to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of students entitled to the policy, ensuring the right subjects, standards and timeliness.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the list of students enjoying the first semester policy (including the second semester arrears of the 2024-2025 school year) must be completed and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee before October 20, 2025.

The Department of Finance is responsible for appraising, synthesizing and advising on funding to implement policies, and at the same time guiding the management and use of funding in accordance with regulations.

The Department of Health directs the local health system to coordinate with schools in ensuring food hygiene and safety, preventing school epidemics, strengthening inspection and supervision of collective kitchens and strictly handling violations.

The People's Committees of communes and wards shall approve the list of students under their management authority, to be completed before September 30, 2025 for the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year, and at the same time synthesize and report the annual funding and rice support needs to ensure timeliness and compliance with regulations.
